According to Mirror.co.uk, a 23-year-old body modification fanatic Paulina Casillas Landeros removed her belly button to give to her boyfriend as a gift back in 2015. She says she regrets the decision and that it was “reckless” and “impulsive”.
She has engaged in many body mods throughout her life. Mirror.co.uk reports, she “underwent numerous surgeries such as a ‘back corset’ – which involves piercings on either side of the spine – and a split tongue.”
Follow the links and check out the photos for yourself. It looks like it has never properly healed, and she ended up getting a half moon tattoo over where body part used to be.
Paulina says that her relationship with her family was strained after the belly button removal but things have seemed to become better.

I’m pretty sure we talked about the Connecticut woman who earned two Guinness World Records by covering 99.98% of her body in tattoos and having 89 body modifications (UPI). 89 body mods is an insane number. No reports on whether or not she has her belly button, but we’d imagine that it has been modified in some way. 99.98% of your body covered doesn’t leave much room for anything untouched. What is the .02% of her body that isn’t tattooed or modded?
Keep your belly buttons folks. Relationships don’t always work out and no one really wants your belly button as a keepsake. Enjoy your body mods but maybe keep your body parts to your self.
