KFC Wants You to Fall Asleep to the Sound of Fried Chicken
KFC is Getting Into the Sleep Game
There are two things we know people love, fried chicken and sleep. KFC has been leading the chicken game for decades and now it looks like they want to get into the sleep game.
According to Food & Wine, KFC is teaming up with a sleep wellness company in order to provide the public with an ASMR experience to help them relax and sleep. The internet has noticed that the sound of chicken frying sounds like rain. Rain sounds have been used forever to help people sleep. So, they are combining the two with the “Kentucky Fried Chicken Rain” content channel to assist people with their restful sleep.
Check out a video here from Hatch For Sleep, where they went into a KFC to see if the sound of frying chicken really is similar to the sound of falling rain. They went to a KFC kitchen in Louisville and recorded the sounds of chicken in the deep fryer. What do you think? Does it sound the same?

White Noise, Rain and ASMR
I’ve mentioned on the show before that I’m a fan of ASMR. There are definitely a collection of sounds that cause me to get “the tingles” and can help me relax. I’ve used white noise machines and I even use them for my kids to help them sleep. Rain sounds have been utilized as well. Sleeping during a rainstorm is amazing sleep in my opinion. I might be giving this fried chicken white noise sound a shot because I do love chicken, and I do love my sleep, whenever I can get some.
