Camping In The Amazon Does Not Look Like A Good Time
Well, camping in the Amazon does not look like a good time. Go ahead and scratch that off the bucket list.
For some reason, camping in the Amazon seems like it could be a good experience. You’re out in the wild like nowhere you can find in the continental United States. The stars are probably incredibly visible. You’ll have a great story to share with your friends. It could be the trip of a lifetime! It’s understandable to see how that might seem like a good time. However, the reality seems much worse. A guy recently did it and now I can confidently say that camping in the Amazon does not look like a good time.
Does Camping In The Amazon Sound Fun?
If you’ve been thinking about taking a trip to go camping in the Amazon then maybe it’s time to reconsider. There are much better places to go camping. A conservationist recently tried it and now video of his time is going viral and it looks horrible. At one point, it sounded like it could be a fun time but after seeing his video I not longer have any interest in doing it.
According to The New York Post, Paul Rosolie is a US conservationist who explores the Amazon. He shared video of the moment when giant ants dismantled his tent while camping in the Amazon and it’s like something out of a nightmare or a horror movie. How could people go camping out there? See the video for yourself below.
That’s scary! It’s easy to see why the video is now going viral with more than 1.3 million likes on Instagram. That is so scary and I can’t believe it’s real. It’s bad enough that you have to be scared of large animals and creatures lurking in the dark but you also have to worry about smaller ones that can destroy your tent and get inside. That’s a nightmare. It seems like a horrible experience.
The video, shared by @paulrosolie on Instagram is captioned in part saying, “Yet another reason you THINK you want my job. Here’s one of those times there’s just NOWHERE to go. Nothing to do the walls have been breached and I was just stuck inside a multi-species festival of insect life.” It’s true he’s just stuck in there. Where is he supposed to go? It seems like he has a really interesting job but I definitely don’t want it. No, thank you.
