Google Maps Car Busts Criminal Putting Dead Body In A Trunk
Did the Google Maps Car bust a criminal putting a dead body into a trunk? That’s what it sounds like!
The incident reportedly happened in Andaluz, Spain which is a small rural town with very few residents. However, even though few people live there, they still need their streets recorded for Google Maps! That means the Google Maps Car will be driving by capturing whatever is in its way–including someone putting a dead body in a trunk of a car. That’s what seems to have happened here. Two people have since been arrested in connection with the man’s death.
Did The Google Maps Car Bust A Criminal With A Dead Body?
According to Unilad, the 2 people, identified as Manuel and Alicia have been arrested win connection with the man’s death. An investigation into the matter remains ongoing and the pair could face either murder or manslaughter charges and that’s yet to be determined.
Now, this is where things get even weirder. There might have been a bit of a love triangle going on here between the 3 individuals involved. Some reports say that the situation led to murder as the couple arrested had become lovers and the man who was killed, from Cuba, was actually Alicia’s husband, per Unilad. Reports say that the married couple lived separately from one another.
Unilad says reports in Spain state Manuel ran a bar in Bayubas de Arriba and that’s where the murdered victim allegedly worked as a waiter. It sounds like the alleged killer was known as “El Lobo de Tajueco” which means “The Wolf Of Tajueco.” Doesn’t sound like the kind of dude you would want to mess with, that nickname had to have came from somewhere and was likely earned! It sounds like a breakthrough was made in the case after police investigated the couple and intercepted their calls. Then, it was the Google Maps Car capturing an image in the town of Tajueco that seems to have really buried the hatchet (for lack of a better term). It was a major turning point in the case and might have provided some new evidence to investigators.
The image in question appear to show a man putting a body-sized plastic bag in the trunk of a car. Later, the dismembered remains were uncovered from a burial site and the remains have been sent to forensic experts at the Soria Institute Of Legal Medicine for more analysis. It all remains under investigation and hopefully more is brought to light soon. You can see the pictures from the Google Maps Car by clicking here.
