Dave Takes a Tumble
Dave Slipped On His Armrest and Chuck Falls Out Of His Chair
No one was injured in any of the stunts performed on today’s show. We don’t recommend throwing yourself from a chair on a hard surface either, but Chuck did it for the sake of comedy. You really never know what’s going to happen during the show, but one thing is a lock. And that’s when Dave makes a mistake, Chuck isn’t going to let it go. He’ll undoubtedly make it worse.
After coming back from a commercial break, Dave was doing a little intro for the celebrity dirt and sports segment. His elbow slipped off his armrest and he tumbled a bit. Everyone asked if he was okay, but Chuck wasn’t going to let it go.
Chuck began making old man noises, and Andy was saying we might be witnessing a very rare “radio injury”. As they like to say, “nothing lasts forever”, and if we all start falling out of chairs, the show is probably doomed.
So while Dave recovers and continues on with the show, Chuck sets up for some physical comedy. Right as Dave finishes his introduction, Chuck throws himself on to the floor from his chair. It was a loud thud. Lisa stood up because she couldn’t see exactly what was going on. And then, Chuck’s feet appeared above his desk, as he writhed in pain.
Once Chuck got up, he said the fall did hurt. Dave said, it serves him right for taking a minor slip and turning it into such an extreme situation.
Like I said, no one was hurt, and this might be the last act of physical comedy you’ll see. Chuck said he isn’t sure how many more of those falls his body can take.
That’s the dedication you want out of your radio show, right? Willing to sacrifice the body for the sake of the jokes!
