According to RealNewsMichiana, a candidate for the Michigan’s 37th State Representative District recently deleted an OnlyFans profile. Angela Jones, a 42-year-old woman from Southwest Michigan was operating a OnlyFans account under the name “AnjiMonique”, prior to running for office in this year’s election. RealNewsMichiana made contact with Angela Jones and she responded saying people have been aware of her past for years.
Jones is not the first candidate running for office to have news of previous sexual content being discovered. Just last year a candidate in Virginia was under fire after explicit videos of her surfaced online (AP NEWS).
Does It Matter?
For some people this would be earth-shattering news. For some, they might not care so much about a person’s past. Does the fact that she ran an OnlyFans limit her ability to be a successful politician? She’s acknowledged the account and has seem to have moved past it. The question of whether voters can do the same, is yet to be answered.
