Were 2 Women Kicked Off A Los Angeles Flight For Wearing Crop Tops?
Were 2 women kicked off a Los Angeles flight for wearing crop tops? That’s what it seems like and is what they are saying!
Crop tops seem like ordinary attire for an airport, especially in Los Angeles, California. I’ve seen much worse clothing choices for a flight. However, it seems to have gotten these 2 women in a bit of trouble and kicked off a Spirit Airlines flight. They’re now accusing the airline of singling them out and embarrassing them. Was it warranted?

The Southern California woman and her friend didn’t make it to New Orleans as planned. They encountered a problem on their flight and it all seems to be over what they were wearing. I had no idea that crop tops were now considered inappropriate for flying.
Tara Kehidi, of Dana Point, tells ABC 7 Chicago, “We were wearing crop tops…just like a little bit of stomach showing.” It sounds like they both had sweaters but they took them off because the plane didn’t have the air conditioning going before takeoff. I understand that! It can be incredibly hot and humid on a plane before taking off and it can be incredibly uncomfortable. ABC 7 Chicago reports that Kehdi says a male flight attendant approached them and aggressively told them to put something on. It seems like I’m not the only one who wasn’t aware that you can’t wear crop tops on a plane. These 2 were thrown off by hearing it too. Carla Hager, a woman they don’t know, was sitting in front of them on the flight and acknowledged how hot it was and how everyone was seemingly taking their sweaters off.
Spirit Airlines said in a statement, “Our Contract of Carriage, a document all Guests agree to upon making a reservation with us, includes certain clothing standards for all Guests traveling with us. We are investigating the matter, and we are in contact with the Guests about their experience,” via ABC 7 Chicago. After being booted off the plane, the pair reportedly had to spend $1,000 on a Delta flight to get to New Orleans to celebrate Tara’s 30th birthday. Now, they’re reportedly interested in taking legal action because they claim they did offer to put their sweaters back on several times in an effort to not be kicked off but were told it was too late.
