Airline Apologizes After Playing Movie With ’40 Minutes Of Penis And Boobs’
An Australian airline is apologizing after reportedly playing a movie with “40 minutes of penis and boobs!” That would make for a unique flight!
It reportedly happened on Australia’s Qantas Airlines and was shown in front of a planeload of passengers. It sounds like they played the start of “Daddio” starring Dakota Johnson on the flight from Sydney to Japan and that is an R-Rated movie, by the way. During those first 40 minutes, the audience was shown scenes featuring “an erect penis, prolonged sexting exchanges, and profuse use of the F-word,” per The Guardian.
Did An Airline Play 40 Minutes Of Penis And Boobs?
The Guardian reports that there were technical issues on the plane and individuals weren’t allowed to select their own movie, so the plane picked Daddio to air in front of the passengers. Well, that probably wasn’t the best choice of movies. However, one passenger reportedly pointed out that at least they didn’t have to watch Madame Web.
After they realized what was going on, crew members finally ended the movie and put on a children’s film instead. Something they probably should have done from the start. A spokesperson for Qantas tells The Guardian, “The movie was clearly not suitable to play for the whole flight and we sincerely apologize to customers for this experience. All screens were changed to a family-friendly movie for the rest of the flight, which is our standard practice for the rare cases where individual movie selection isn’t possible. We are reviewing how the movie was selected.”
That seems like an obvious thing to do. If you have to play a movie for a plane full of people, you play a family-friendly movie. Maybe a cartoon or a Disney movie of some sort. Something you know with confidence will be safe to watch for everyone on that plane. I’m sure there had to be some children on board! That seems like a total oversight. It sounds like all the screens locked while the movie was being played and passengers might not have even had the option to turn it off! That would be terrible. I can remember back in the day taking flights where everyone had to watch the same movie and it was always something very safe. I remember one time it was Up which is obviously a safe pick and another time it was Remember The Titans which is still safe as well. It was never a movie that was Rated-R!
