Pennsylvania Man Accused Of Hiding Meth In A Shotgun Shell At The Airport
Pro-Tip: don’t hide your meth in a shotgun shell if you’re going to the airport. One Pennsylvania man tried that and it didn’t go well.
Many things are not allowed on a plane, and I feel like many of us are familiar with what’s allowed and what is not. You can’t bring your loaded gun, you can’t bring drugs, and you have to limit the amount of liquids you’re bringing. One Pennsylvania man clearly didn’t get the memo because he allegedly tried hiding meth inside a shotgun shell. Just like most stuff you try to sneak on a plane that you shouldn’t, it was caught and now he’s in trouble.
Did A Pennsylvania Man Try Hiding Meth In A Shotgun Shell?
It’s very hard to trick TSA these days. Few can get away with it and those who do should count their lucky stars. It seems like this guy tried hard to outsmart TSA but he was unable to get away with it.
According to 6 ABC, a Pennsylvania man was arrested at the Philadelphia International Airport for allegedly concealing methamphetamine inside an altered shotgun shell. Authorities say a TSA checkpoint scanner alerted them that he had been hiding something else under his clothes. That’s when they removed a tampered-with shotgun shell that contained a white powder inside which was later determined to be methamphetamine, per 6 ABC.
Gerardo Spero, the TSA’s Federal Security Director for the airport tells 6 ABC, “It is disappointing to see individuals attempt to hide items on their person or among their carry-on items in an attempt to conceal them. We are not looking for drugs, but when we come across them, we alert law enforcement and let them handle the situation.” For the record, shotgun shells (along with any caliber of ammunition) are prohibited from being carried through security at the airport. The Pennsylvania man has been arrested but his identity remains unknown.
It’s surprising that people think they can still get away with this. How bold! There was no chance that was going to get through airport security. The plan was doomed from the start. Have you ever witnessed somebody try to bring something through airport security and get busted? We tried to bring hot sauce back from Louisiana and even that wasn’t allowed. That was a major bummer because it was expensive and we bought a lot of them as gifts for family members and all of that went down the drain…or into the garbage can I guess. It’s best to know what is and is not allowed on a plane before you get there!
