I don’t get over to Daytona often, but when I was there for a concert, I had to check out the famous Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets. I’d heard all about the Beaver Nuggets, beef jerky, fudge and other Buc-ee’s goodies everyone raves about.

Buc-ee’s is like an enormous Walmart. To call it just a gas station is really wrong. It’s more like a Walmart with a lot of gas pumps… over 100! And Buc-ee’s has lots of stuff to ruin what’s left of your New Year’s resolution. Here were the things that caught my attention during my first visit at their Daytona location.

  OK I get the Beaver Nuggets thing now. I have a sweet tooth so I get the hype.

  This was my favorite purchase. I like the regular Beaver Nuggets that are sweet. But these were phenomenal.

• FRIED Apple Pies

  I'm always down for fried apple pie. It's the biggest menu item I miss at McDonald's. Whenever I get to visit a country where they still serve them like England, it's a must.

  The brisket was decent but honestly not outstanding. I don't think I'd order it a second time.

  You're not going to have to wait long in line for gas at Buc-ee's. They have EV charging spots now too.
