Are foot fetishes on the rise? It’s something that we have covered for years on the show, but in recent weeks, it seems to be becoming more popular. For this man in Greece, his fetish was so powerful that he was apparently sneaking into homes to smell people’s shoes.
According to HuffPost, a 28-year-old man in Thessaloniki, Greece received a suspended one-month prison sentence after he was arrested for sneaking into neighbor’s homes and smelling their shoes. HuffPost reports, the man was found in a neighbor’s front yard, sniffing their shoes that had been left outside to air. The 28-year-old says he had no intention of harming anyone and is extremely embarrassed. He was also unable to explain his behavior.
While discussing foot fetishes, we have wondered if people are interested in the dirtiest, smelliest feet. It is weird to smell people’s shoes. It would appear that this 28-year-old Greek man is. Can you imagine taking a big whiff of someone’s shoes? There isn’t really any information about whether or not this was a sexual thing, but based on our research, it most likely is. The Rise of the Foot Fetish
Buying pictures of someone’s feet online is different than sneaking into a home to smell their shoes. Models have been using the site ‘FeetFinder’ for quite some time and apparently many are very successful. According to Entrepreneur, “to put the growth into perspective, FeetFinder has sold more than 10,000,000 feet pics till date with more than $70,000,000 spent”. What a market! That is a lot of feet and an incredibly large sum of money.
