Family Dog Saves An 86-Year-Old After Being Attacked By Naked Man
Dogs really are man’s best friend. I don’t remember the last time we talked about a cat saving its owner’s life on Dave & Chuck The Freak. There was Eric The Evil Cat, but that’s quite different. This dog is now a national hero after being credited with saving an 86-year-old’s life.
According to WMUR, Kane saved 86-year-old Ned Tarmey when he jumped on and held a man down who was attacking Tarmey in his backyard. After spending some time in the hospital intensive care unit, Ned and Kane were finally able to reunite recently.
WMUR reports that the 86-year-old was at home in Manchester, New Hampshire with only Kane for company when Donald Pierce broke into the family’s backyard while naked and started attacking Tarmey. Reports say the suspect threatened to kill Tarmey and threw rocks and lawn furniture at him. It sounds like that’s when Kane went into protective mode and jumped onto Pierce. He held him down until police arrived and were able to arrested Pierce.
Ned’s nephew Jeff Tarmey tells WMUR, “The dog saved his life. Because if it wasn’t for the dog, then he certainly would have continued to beat my uncle and killed him.” Pierce is now facing more than a dozen charges including first-degree assault, indecent exposure, and cruelty to animals. Ned is continuing to recover and was recently reunited with the dog after spending some time in the hospital. You can see more on that in a video report below.
