‘Nuttin Butt Azz’ Basketball Tournament Canceled
According to The New York Post, a sexual promotional video of women twerking in thongs in a New Jersey High School gym caused the school board to become hot and bothered and now they’re calling the whole thing off. The raunchy footage was intended to promote a celebrity basketball tournament called “Nuttin Butt Azz.” In the promo, women were bending over chairs and shaking their butts in slow motion to hip-hop music at West Side High School in Newark, New Jersey.
The school’s mascot “Rough Riders” is seen on the wall in the background. Seems like an appropriate nickname for the situation. I wonder if that played into the decision to film it there. According to The New York Post, the tournament was produced by Big Fendi who’s a music manager and party promoter who’s probably best known for discovering Nicki Minaj.
According to NJ.com. Board Member Daniel Gonzalez said, “I am appalled that a video of that sort was associated with that school or any of our schools.” Clearly, they were disgusted by what they saw. Now, an investigation is reportedly under way to see who let the film crew in and who’s responsible for all of this happening. They’ll be going through school records and surveillance cameras so you have to imagine they’re going to get to the bottom of this very soon.
The New York Post reports the tournament is also known as the “NBA Baddies Basketball Tournament NJ” and was scheduled for July 21, 2024. Tickets were ranging from $50-$500. That’s not a cheap date! However, now it’s canceled and Big Fendi even apologized to all of Newark. Maybe one day we’ll get to experience the Nuttin Butt Azz tourney, but it won’t be this year.
