Florida Man Cheeseburger Assault Mirrors ‘Seinfeld’ Spit Episode
A Florida Man and Florida Woman, recently got into an argument at a local Burger King on US 19 in Clearwater. This story sort of parallels the Seinfeld episode, where Kramer gets spit on by former NY Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez.
So it starts off as an afternoon at the BK this past Saturday August 13th, when 41 year old James Hunt started fighting with his girlfriend when he noticed she wasn’t eating her food. She then reportedly started to leave.
Mr. Hunt then followed her outside and struck her with his cheeseburger. The Pinellas County Police report does not specify whether the burger was a Whopper, a Big King sandwich, bacon double cheeseburger or just a regular, single cheeseburger. I can’t see a grown man eating anything smaller than a whopper, but I digress.
According to the police report, Mr. Hunt threw his “cheeseburger” at his girlfriend, hitting her in the back of the head. The impact of the cheeseburger then forced the woman to trip over a curb and onto the ground. Police observed the woman having abrasions on her chin and lip. She also appeared to have blood on her shirt and shorts and cheese on her shirt and in her hair.
Police arrested Mr. Hunt, and took him to the Pinellas County jail and charged with felony domestic battery and being held on a $15,000 bond. When Burger King says “you can have it your way”, that isn’t necessarily true in all accounts.

Jerry Seinfeld's 'Pop-Tarts' Film: See the All-Star Cast
Jerry Seinfeld has taken a massive step forward in his upcoming directorial debut with the announcement of the all-star cast of Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story.
As previously reported, the film is an adaptation of one of Seinfeld’s most popular jokes. Back in June 2021, Seinfeld told Deadline, “Stuck at home watching endless sad faces on TV, I thought this would be a good time to make something based on pure silliness. So, we took my Pop-Tart stand-up bit from my last Netflix special and exploded it into a giant, crazy comedy movie.”
Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story will be a Netflix exclusive, which is an extension of the sitcom legends current relationship with the streaming giant. Netflix is already home to a number of Seinfeld properties, including Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, two stand-up specials (Jerry Before Seinfeld and 23 Hours to Kill) and, of course, all 180 episodes of Seinfeld.
Per Netflix, the logline of the film reads, “Michigan, 1963. Kellogg’s and Post, sworn cereal rivals, race to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast forever. A tale of ambition, betrayal, sugar, and menacing milkmen, ‘Unfrosted’ stars writer/director Jerry Seinfeld.”
