Texas Woman Breaks The World Record For Having The Widest Tongue
A Texas woman has broken a long standing world record for having the widest tongue. This thing is incredibly big, you’d think she’s have difficulty speaking or breathing.
We’ve talked about many Guinness World Records that will likely never be broken. I can’t see this one being broken anytime soon. Sometimes, Guinness World Records can be held by people with impressive skills and other times it’s something they have on their body that they didn’t have to work on at all. This is one of those times. She really does have the widest tongue ever.
How Long Is The Widest Tongue In The World?
Brittany Lacayo is now the Guinness World Record holder for the widest tongue in the world. Recently, her tongue measured in at an impressive 3.11 inches at its widest point. When you look at it, you immediately know that it has to be the widest tongue in the world. I’ve never seen anything like it.
Guinness World Records points out that her tongue is wider than a hockey puck and nearly as wide as a credit card. Think about that! Put your credit card in your mouth and try to talk. Not very easy is it? Wait, you didn’t actually do it did you? It has to be incredibly dirty and you should never put that in your mouth. That size of width is the exact same size as the average length or a woman’s entire tongue when measured from the epiglottis.
Lacayo broke a record that hadn’t been broken for 10 years, defeating Emily Schlenker whose tongue measured in at 2.89 inches. Brittany works as an attorney and has always known that her tongue was extra wide and was constantly hearing jokes about it. Now, the joke is on them! She’s now a proud Guinness World Record holder. It sounds like she saw a video of Schlenker and her record-holding tongue and knew she could beat it. For men, the record belongs to Brian Thompson whose tongue measures in at 3.49inches. At one time, the record for men was held by Byron Schlenker who’s Emily’s father.
Check out a video of Brittany flaunting what she’s got below. How does she talk? It makes no sense! It would definitely be more difficult breathing if you had that in your mouth. Can’t help but wonder what skills she has with it. Or does it prevent skills? We may never know.
