Florida Man Steals Not One But TWO Police Cars During Chase

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office released a video showing a Florida Man stealing a police cruiser and after crashing it, he then takes another one. All in one chase:

A Florida man is facing several charges after allegedly stealing a Cocoa Police Department cruiser on Thursday morning. Xavier Javern Cummings, 33, was involved in a high speed chase on I-95 where an officer was able to force him off the road into the woods where the Florida man ended up crashing the police car. It gets crazier! The Florida man got out of the wrecked car and jumped in another police cruiser. How does that happen? Check out the video to see for yourself:

Around 4:15 this afternoon, deputies were alerted to a stolen Cocoa Police Department vehicle entering Volusia County on I-95. A pursuing police officer was able to force the stolen cruiser off the highway and into the woods, where it crashed and became stuck around the 252 mile marker. However, as additional responding units approached, the suspect was able to jump out of the wrecked patrol car and into another Cocoa Police Department vehicle, again fleeing northbound on I-95.After units along I-95 successfully deployed stop sticks, the suspect again ran off the highway and into a muddy median around the 258 mile marker, where Sheriff Mike Chitwood and Division Chief Brian Henderson approached the vehicle. Additional units quickly converged behind them to take the suspect into custody. No injuries were reported.Charges are being determined and finalized, and more information will be posted when it's available.UPDATE: The suspect’s ID is Xavier Javern Cummings (DOB 12/24/1987).Cummings is charged with armed burglary of a conveyance, escape, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (2 counts), grand theft firearm (2 counts), grand theft motor vehicle (2 counts), and driving while license suspended (habitual).

According to Channel 10 Tampa Bay, the Florida man “now faces charges of armed burglary of a conveyance, escape, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, grand theft firearm, grand theft motor vehicle, and driving while license suspended.”
