5 Walk Up COVID-19 Vaccine Locations in Tampa Area
Starting today, Florida residents 60 and over can get vaccinated at 5 sites in Tampa Bay without an appointment. While pharmacies at Publix, Walmart, Winn-Dixie and CVS and other coronavirus vaccine sites are up and running, those usually require a reservation. Florida dropped the minimum age requirement to 60 beginning this morning.
Others eligible to get the vaccine include long-term care facility residents and staff, health care personnel with direct patients, teachers and school employees, law enforcement officers, and firefighters. You can also get the vaccine if your doctor deems you “medically vulnerable.” Here’s where to go to get your shot if you meet the criteria:
Clearwater
Vaccinations will be administered this week at Clearwater Center at 707 Druid Road Tuesday through Friday this week between 1-4pm. This site is run by Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Inc.
Pinellas Park
Head to the Pinellas Park Center at 7550 43rd Street Tuesday through Friday this week between 1-4pm. This site is run by Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Inc.
Plant City
A site has been set up to administer 500 vaccines daily at Plant City Stadium at 1810 S. Park Rd. They’ll be open today through Wednesday, March 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
St. Petersburg
Vaccines will be available at Johnnie Ruth Clarke Center at 1344 22nd Street Tuesday through Friday this week between 1-4pm. This site is run by Community Health Centers of Pinellas, Inc.
Tampa
A Federal Vaccine Site has been set up at Tampa Dog Track at 755 E. Waters Avenue. They are open daily from 7am to 7pm.
