Tampa Bay is known for a lot of great things, but we didn’t know that it’s one of the best cities for Veterans! Wallethub released a study recently that proved that Tampa is one of the best places for Veterans. They compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 20 key indicators of livability, affordability and veteran-friendliness. Other factors include share of military skill-related jobs and availability of VA health facilities.

According to the Veterans Association, there are over 18.5 million veterans currently living in the U.S. Re-entering civilian life is never easy. Many veterans still have difficulty finding healthcare, jobs or shelter after returning from service. While the veteran unemployment rate is lower than the overall population, homelessness is still a big problem for our some of our Nation’s heroes.

It’s good to know that Tampa ranked high in taking care of our Vets. Orlando was a close runner up and even St. Petersburg made the top 20 at #12. Here are the top 10 cities for Veterans to live in. Check out the full list here.
