We all know living in Tampa hasn’t been easy on the wallets in the last few years. From record high rent increases and sky high inflation on just about everything, to 50% insurance premium spikes, Tampa has seen it all, but one developer is looking to change that. ESCAPE Tampa Bay has debuted a community full of “affordable”, rent-only tiny homes in Tampa.

What Are ESCAPE Tampa Bay Tiny Homes?

Escape Tampa Bay Village started back in 2020 looking to bring unique housing to the people of Tampa Bay at a lower cost. Since it’s debut, ESCAPE Tampa Bay Village’s first phase of tiny homes sold out with the second phase, The Oaks, selling out just as quick.

But now, ESCAPE Tampa Bay is back, but joining in on the rental market.  The Village aims to give residents privacy you wouldn’t normally see in the heart of downtown Tampa and still gives easy access to everything the city has to offer.

ESCAPE Tampa Bay’s newest addition, The Grove, is stocked with fully furnished rental units coming in at only $1,350 per month, all inclusive. “The demand for affordable rentals is extremely high in the Tampa Bay area,” says ESCAPE Homes founder, Dan Dobrowolski, “and The Grove is designed to provide the same level of privacy and comfort as our other sections with a little twist.”

These tiny homes at ESCAPE Tampa Bay, The Grove, include large screened outdoor living areas that give each unit nearly double the living space. The community includes a large community pool with indoor and outdoor community work and relaxation areas for residents to use.

ESCAPE’S first entrance to the Tampa Bay scene came in 2020, introducing The Village. Their goal was to design 10 eco-efficient tiny homes in a quiet, nature filled setting in the heart of Tampa.

In 2022-23, ESCAPE introduced The Oaks. The Oaks expanded the community with 23 new affordable, and sustainable tiny homes set inside a privately gated, tropical setting moments from downtown Tampa.

Dobrowolski is no stranger to the tiny home phenomenon. In 2019, he opened Canoe Bay ESCAPE Village in northern Wisconsin which is what started it all.
