It’s Opening Day for your Tampa Bay Rays. If you’re headed to the Trop, there are some changes and new fan experience features to check out after you watch the AL East Champions banner raised. One big thing you’ll notice is the lack of COVID-19 restrictions at Tropicana Field. You can leave the mask home. But you’re certainly welcome to wear one to stay safer.  Here’s what else is new this season.

• #5: Mobile Ordering

  Hate lines? Order on your phone and then when it's ready, just walk up to concession stand and grab your order.

• #4: A New Rays Museum

  Probably no Picasso or Monet. But a new museum with nearly 25 years of Rays memorabilia is free to fans to check out until the 5th inning.

• #3: 66 Chalk Box Seats

  66 seats down the first base line have extra padding, cupholders, and an under the seat storage area.
• #2: New digital audio system

  The poor audio quality in previous years of the music and sound has always been something I've complained about. Apparently the Tropicana Field sound system has gotten an upgrade. Can't wait to hear it. It's always something the Lightning have done well... create that exciting, almost concert-level environment.

• #1: New Food Choices

  These are what normal tater tots look like. Ever had a foot long tater tot? Probably not. You can now. It's fried potato covered in bacon, sour cream, jalapenos and scallions. You can also try a Rays Up Roll if you're a sushi lover or Ice Cream Nachos. There's a Korean Spiced Chicken Sandwich and Caribbean Bowl too.
