We’re counting down the minutes until Record Store Day 2023. The annual celebration of independent record stores happens every year in April. This year, a lot of awesome albums are apart of the special release. If you need a place to celebrate, we recommend checking out one of these 5 record stores in the Tampa Bay area. Keep in mind that this is a pretty big deal for a lot of people. You may find lines wrapped around the building depending on what time you go. It’s also a possibility that the album you’re looking for may be gone.
Many of these local record stores are following a “first come, first served” system. Per the Record Store Day pledge, these stores are not allowed to reserve, hold, or flip RSD releases. There are a few releases that are going to be a hot commodity, like Macho Man Randy Savage’s: Be A Man. Click here to see 46 classic rock titles being released this year.

Mojo Books & Records is located by USF on 2554 E. Fowler Ave, Tampa. This year, they have room for more albums after moving to a bigger store earlier this year. Mojo will be opening at 8a on 4/22, so make sure you get there early! Find more info here.
