Adult Book Fair Takes Over Water Street in March
Remember the scholastic book fairs as a kid? Well, Water Street in Tampa is hosting a grown-up version “Cover to Cover” book fair on March 5. Tampa’s lively Water Street will turn into an outdoor readers paradise with pop-up bookstores, Q&A’s and book signings, and activity stations that lets visitors make their own bookmarks and write with old-school typewriters.
There will be books of all kinds of genres for adult readers. At the fun “Blind Date with a Book” booth, wrapped books await readers with just hints about what’s inside. So there is no “judging the book by its cover”.
While exploring the books, visitors can grab food and drinks from nearby restaurants and bars like Small Giant, Wagamama, Chill Bros Ice Cream, and more. The fair adds to the neighborhood’s growing lineup of community events. Coming up on the 28th is The Space Between, a tribute to Tampa’s Jazz history. There’s also The Market: International Women’s Month Celebration happening on March 16.
Got old books lying around? The event helps local schools through a book drive. People who bring books help fill school libraries and get reading materials to families in need.
Parking in downtown Tampa can be a nightmare, the easiest and closing parking location is at Cumberland Garage at 1045 E Cumberland Ave.
