Going to one of the upcoming concerts at The Sound at Coachman Park in Clearwater? If it’s your first time visiting the new venue, here’s a look at your view of the stage from every section from back to front. This will help you find the seat that fits your budget but also gives you a great view of the stage.

Although it’s smaller in scale, the seating layout is similar to the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre. Covered seating is set up in the sections closest to the stage. Once you get out on the lawn, seats are uncovered – but ticket prices are usually quite a bit cheaper.

In total, there are approximately 4,000 covered seats and there is room for about 5,000 on the lawn. It’s rare, however, for the venue to be completely filled. The Sound tends to bring in acts that are appropriate for the capacity. You won’t see a U2 or Rolling Stones show at The Sound. For those giant monster acts, you’ll still be going to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. In fact, capacity of the new venue is actually smaller than when it was just known as Coachman Park.

Free concerts?

One cool thing about The Sound at Coachman Park that not many know is that if you don’t have a ticket, you can still enjoy the music just by being in the park during a show. While you won’t have a view of the artist on stage, you’ll hear the music fine if you bring a blanket and relax on the giant lawn space next to The Sound.

The Sound opened in 2023. It’s located at 255 Drew Street in Clearwater at Coachman Park. Local favorite Cheap Trick was the first to take the stage. Since then, other acts who have performed at The Sound include the Goo Goo Dolls, Gavin DeGraw, Ringo Starr, the Steve Miller Band, Sammy Hagar, Peter Frampton, Kenny Loggins and John Fogerty.
