About Honor Flight of West Central Florida and The Kind Mouse:
The Honor flight takes our beloved Veterans to Washington, D.C. to tour the monuments. The plane leaves very early in the morning and gets back to St. Pete around 8:00 at night. They take the oldest Veterans first so there will be several World War II veterans as well as Korean Veterans on the trip. It is a very emotional day for everyone involved culminating in a welcome home party at St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport. These are very special people and it is The Northeast Exchange Club’s goal to 100% finance one of these trips.
About The Kind Mouse:
The Kind Mouse has as it seems the never-ending task of feeding hungry children right here in our community. Their approach is unique in that they recruit teens to help package and distribute food to the hungry. They are planting a seed at an early age in these youngsters that giving of their time to the less fortunate is a noble and honorable path and hopefully they will continue to serve as they grow older.
