The Frontier Airlines agents who went viral for mocking a customer have reportedly been fired. We saw this coming!
We talked about this story on Dave & Chuck The Freak earlier this week when the video was going viral on social media. At the time, we had a feeling this was coming. It was nearly a D-Guarantee. Now, it's reportedly happened and for good reason! TMZ is reporting that they have been fired from their positions. They went a little too far mocking the customer instead of simply informing him of their rules and why he wasn't going to be allowed to check his bag. It could have been much easier on them and they could have avoided problems. Instead, they opted to cause a scene and now they're looking for a job. Check out a video report shared by WRAL on YouTube and the original video below.
Frontier Airlines Agents Reportedly Fired After Viral Video
According to TMZ, this all started when a Frontier Airlines customer tried to check in at the ticket counter for a flight from North Carolina to Boston but things quickly went south. Instead of being helpful, or informing him of their policies and rules, they took out their cameras and mocked the guy. It's not like he's some random--he's a paying customer who just happens to be a bit late. A simple explanation could have taken care of things. Instead, their behavior seemingly escalated things.
The way the one just kept repeating, "And you thought you was gonna get on your flight" is when you knew there was going to be a problem. It was not the most professional way to handle things. Frontier Airlines tells TMZ, "We are aware of what occurred and have been directly in touch with the customer. The individuals in question, who work for a third party contractor are no longer associated with the Frontier account."
