Some people like their temperature a certain way and don't like it messed with. If you tick it up or down even the slightest bit they'll be able to tell and they won't like you messing with their air conditioning. Maybe it's too early in the year to turn it on, not hot enough, or whatever the reason might be. Everyone has their preferred temperatures. However, this 87-year-old Florida man clearly took things way too far when his wife tried to down the air conditioning down. It ended in his arrest!
Florida Man Arrested After Wife Tried Turning Down Air Conditioning
According to The Smoking Gun, 87-year-old Charles Ingram was arrested for domestic battery after his wife tried to turn the air conditioning down. It happened around 7am on a Monday morning when an argument broke out between Ingram and his 85-year-old wife.
According to The Smoking Gun, his wife touched the thermostat to turn the air down which led to Charles allegedly pushing the victim away from the thermostat. When law enforcement arrived, he admitted that he pushed her but said she pushed him back.
The domestic violence charge was enhanced to a felony due to his prior battery convictions that date back more than 4 decades, per The Smoking Gun. Again, some people clearly don't like you messing with their air conditioning but that doesn't mean you can do that! You can see his mugshot provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office below.
