A Colorado inmate attempted to escape with only 2 days left in his sentence! You couldn't wait 2 days?!

This is just a frustrating story to hear. A Colorado inmate tried escaping from jail with only 2 days left in his sentence! 2 days! You make it 48 hours and you're out the door and free! Without having to even escape! However, it appears he wasn't willing to wait those 2 days and now he might have to wait a bit longer. Remember, they say good things come to those who wait and they aren't kidding!

Colorado Inmate Tries Escaping Jail With 2 Days Left In Sentence

KRDO reports that a Colorado inmate escaped the Pueblo County Jail and it's not that inmate's first time doing so. Reports show he previously pleaded guilty to an escape charge. KRDO reports the inmate was only gone about 35 minutes after walking out of the detention center.

That Colorado inmate has been identified as Lucas Brown, who is now back in custody. Sounds like he took off after taking out the trash. Captain Dawn Ballas tells KRDO, "He worked in the kitchen since March 31st. So, [for] 24 days he's been working and never had an issue."

Now, he's facing additional charges and will no longer be released when he was expected to. Ouch! All he had to do was wait 2 days! Did he not know? Did he do his math wrong? That's a terrible mistake to make. You can see his mugshot provided by the Arapahoe County Sheriff below.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
