‘Frat Boys’ Prank Call Shadeur Sanders During 2025 NFL Draft

Some alleged Frat Boys prank called Shadeur Sanders during the 2025 NFL Draft. They claimed to be the GM of the New Orleans Saints!

The prank is now going viral on social media after it was shared by both Shadeur's camp and by the pranksters themselves. To his credit, Shadeur Sanders has taken it in stride and embraced the joke. Good on him for seeing it that way and having fun with it instead of freaking out--especially during one of the most stressful points in his life as he was sliding in the draft. In the fake call, the kids pretend to be Mickey Loomis, the General Manager of the New Orleans Saints, a team that was rumored to be a possible landing spot for Sanders as the team could use a QB especially with Carr being injured with an uncertain future in NOLA. However, thing quickly turned when the kids told him that he was going to have to wait a little longer to be selected. Ouch. There was some clear confusion as the group struggled to apprehend what just went down.

Now, you'd think that would be super embarrassing and he wouldn't want that getting out but I think he did the right thing by releasing his side of the video himself. Embrace it and don't let it get to you, he stayed ahead of it and it was a good look for him. You have to imagine he was going through it as he continued to fall so it's nice to see he's having a sense of humor with the situation.

During the video, he points out that nobody has that phone's number. A smart decision to use a new phone as athletes have been pranked during situations like this before. You can't be too careful. So, how did these kids get this phone's number? That's where things really get interesting. It's not like they're sitting around typing in random numbers and hoping Shadeur Sanders happens to be on the other end. There's a rumor going around social media that one of the kids in the video is allegedly the son of Atlanta Falcons Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. This has yet to be confirmed but they do look pretty similar! That might explain how the kids got this special number.

Shadeur Sanders got the last laugh as he ended up being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 5th round. He comes into a busy Browns QB room where he'll be joining Deshaun Watson (who's injured), Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and 3rd round draft pick Dillon Gabriel. Things are going to get Hot In Cleveland this season. It's going to be interesting to watch.
