There are many reasons why businesses would want to come to the Tampa Bay area. Where else can you find both high-caliber business opportunities and the perfect excuse to wear flip-flops to work? With the city's year-round sunshine and an unquenchable thirst for flavor, it's practically begging for a cantina where tacos are not just food, but an experience, and tequila is not just a drink, but a celebration. Well, you don't have to beg anymore. We got the news that Tacos & Tequila Cantina is coming to the Tampa Bay area!

Details About The New Tacos & Tequila Cantina

If you don't know about Tacos & Tequila Cantina, they were established in 2013 by Kelly and Aldo Musico, and currently operate four locations in Naples and Estero, Florida. Their menu features a creative, chef-driven take on Tex-Mex cuisine paired with specialty cocktails. They prioritize high-quality ingredients, including fresh, local products, authentic tortillas, and premium liquors.

Thanks to HMC Hospitality Group, the creators behind the Hooters brand, there is now a licensing agreement with Tacos & Tequila Cantina, aiming to expand into Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough counties, as well as The Villages. HMC is also responsible for 22 Hooters locations across Tampa Bay and Chicagoland, along with three Hoots restaurants in Chicagoland. The group is still actively seeking potential locations for new establishments, but the success of their previous locations suggests it won't take long for them to find.

Kelly Musico expressed excitement about partnering with the original Hooters team, emphasizing that the expansion into Tampa Bay and Central Florida aligns with their growth plans for the next 18 months. "We share a mutual passion for hospitality and community, and we believe in each other's brand. Our goal is to expand this concept across Florida and beyond," Musico said.

Rich also worked at several clubs in Tampa as a host/promoter where he would meet and work alongside Davy Rolando, who would be the one who would help him get a job at WiLD 94.1. From there, Rich worked his way up from Promotions assistant to promotions coordinator, to eventually full-time on-air. Rich loves to write about his favorite Tampa food spots, concert reviews, and the WiLDest Florida man/woman stories.
