Dunkin’ and Scrub Daddy are teaming up, so doing dishes may actually become fun. The two brands are coming together with a limited-edition line of Dunkin’ Scrub Daddy and Scrub Mommy sponges.

The doughnut-shaped sponges, Dunkin' said in a statement, "combine Dunkin’s playful spirit with Scrub Daddy’s practical effectiveness, making household chores a bit more cheerful."

The collaboration, Dunkin explained, began as a witty back-and-forth between the two on social media. But the two decided to make things official.

Dunkin’ x Scrub Daddy Collab

Fans of the brands can purchase the donut-shaped sponges at Scrubdaddy.com. The team-up includes one Scrub Daddy and one dual-sided Scrub Mommy for $9.98.  As the Scrub Daddy website explains, the sponges are scratch-free, so they are "safe on delicate surfaces like non-stick pans" and are dishwasher-safe and tailor-made for deep cleaning.

Another perk of the sponges is their versatile shape, or the donut hole, which is great for cleaning "long-handled utensils with a single motion," according to Scrub Daddy.

The product does come with a warning: "Despite appearing good enough to eat, these scrubbers are not for consumption but will do a great job cleaning up the house!" Of course, many people would know this but they’re just covering their bases.

When the brands made the official team-up announcement, fans went running to the comments. “2 better worlds couldn't have collided #scrubdunkin,” one person said. Someone jokingly suggested another product saying, “i LOVE this Now dunkin needs to make a donut that looks like a scrub daddy/mommy!” To be honest, that one may throw customers off a little bit.

Excitement over the collaboration

Another person said, “They are all so cute! Now if only we could get a scrub mommy hoodie and mug.”

June 7 marks National Donut Day. In celebration, Dunkin’ added in a press release that it's once again giving away free donuts on June 7 at locations nationwide. Guests can get a free classic donut of their choosing with the purchase of any beverage. How long will this promotion run? While supplies last.

Dunkin’ is no stranger to collaborations. Last year, the company teamed up with Ice Spice, Ben Affleck, and Charlie D’Amelio.

During this year’s Super Bowl, Dunkin’ debuted their “DunKings” commercial, and shortly after the brand offered fans DunKings gear, including the tracksuits that Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Tom Brady wore in the commercial.

On October 25 of that year, Scrub Daddy premiered on season four, episode seven of Shark Tank. Aaron Krause, the creator of Scrub Daddy’s infomercial-like presentation, grabbed the attention of celebrity “Shark” and prolific inventor Lori Greiner, who secured the winning deal.
