Florida Man Reportedly Makes Bomb Threat In Attempt To ‘Flirt’ With Another Traveler

Look, flirting is hard. We've all been there. There are a lot of ways it can go wrong; however, if it goes right...you're in luck. Things didn't go the way this guy had hoped. A Florida man reportedly made a bomb threat in an attempt to flirt with another traveler.

Well, that is not how you should go about flirting. I can't imagine a scenario where that would actually work. Here's more on the trending story.

Safe to say he blew it. There were clearly no fireworks between these two travelers.

According to The New York Post, Alan Borinsky, of Miami, told police he was "trying to be funny" when he made the remark at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

WPLG reports that other witnesses overheard Borinsky tell another passenger something that sounded like, "If the bomb in my bag goes off prematurely, I apologize to your family in advance." Yeah, you can't do that! What a terrible idea. He probably said it so casually like, "ope mind if I sit here?" He must have thought it would be a cute little icebreaker, which it was not.

It goes beyond common sense. Everybody knows you can't say "bomb" on an airplane or at the airport. You can't even say something like "wow, this trip is going to be the bomb." No! Don't say it.

Naturally, he was arrested and charged with making a false bomb report, which is a second-degree felony. He has since pleaded not guilty and has been released from jail on bond. It all could have been avoided if he just minded his own business.
