It's been a roller coaster of a season for the Tampa Bay Lightning. We knew we were going to be facing some hardships this year when we found out we would be missing our star goaltender for the first 2-3 months of the season. On top of losing some fan-favorite forwards and veteran presence Pat Maroon and Corey Perry. But Bolts fans might have something to look forward to. A new billboard in downtown Tampa is sparking conversation on something new coming to Tampa Bay.
A hockey insider account tweeted a photo of a new billboard by MacDinton’s that hints "A Storm Is Coming". And they think it can only mean one thing... A new look for our Tampa Bay Lightning.
Earlier this year the NHL announced that they are switching jersey supplier/partner from big brand Adidas to Fanatics. This took a lot of people by surprise as fans have spent years used to seeing the clean and innovative Adidas looks in hockey jerseys or "sweaters". The fan-apparel brand is taking over as the new outfitter for on-ice uniforms in 2024-2025. Which brings us to our new billboard.

Last year, the Lightning brought back the classic 90's storm jersey as the second launch of the reverse retro line by Adidas. The jerseys were either extremely loved or hated, depending on who you would ask. Some would say "it's so bad, it's good". This billboard outside of MacDinton’s has us hoping for another launch of the storm look. Lightning fans also agree we could use a new black alternative jersey, but one with hints of the Bolts blue. And it looks like our wishes may come true. Other fans are hoping they bring back the diagonal BOLTS logo across the chest.
Still no official word on the launch date of the new looks, but we can probably expect them in the beginning of 2024.

Tampa Bay Lightning playoff season is here. Here are some of the creative food options you'll see and smell as you roam around Amalie Arena this year at Bolts games, concerts and other events. From Corona Cove behind Section 124, it's coconut and panko hand breaded shrimp with an apricot sweet Thai chili sauce.

A footlong dog with fingerling potatoes, roasted pepper & onions and whole grain mustard. Find this one at Dog Gone It behind Sections 112 and 322.

From Fry Box behind Section 306, this is thinly sliced Italian beef, sweet peppers, beef gravy, shaved Parmesan cheese over house cut fries.
