Only 1 State Is More Desirable To Move To Than Florida
A website for interstate movers has run the numbers to determine which states people want to move to most. And as surprising as it may be to us, no, it’s not Florida. You might see a lot of moving trucks being unloaded but one other state topped MoverDB’s list of most desirable states to move to.
The line is very clear though. Florida dominates the eastern half of the United States.
Connecticut, Delaware, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and even Oklahoma residents all said Florida is the state they’d like to move to most. But when you look at the western half of the U.S., it’s almost unanimous where they would move – and it’s not the Sunshine State.
Texas ranked highest for their list of states where Americans want to relocate to most. 17 states picked Texas as where they’d most like to move to. Why? The cost of living is 8% below the national average. And just like Florida, Texas has no state income tax.
Florida came in at #2. So where did they find Floridians and Texans would want to move to most? For Texans, they’d most like to head north to Oklahoma. For Floridians, same thing. They’d head north too. Georgia is the state people moving out of Florida want to head to. [Source: MoverDB]
