DeSantis Hints At His Next Plan To Get Back At Disney
The drama continues! It’s been an ongoing battle between Governor DeSantis and Walt Disney World. The feud started way back when the “Don’t Say Gay” law was passed. Disney executives stood up against the bill which the Governor called “ant-Florida”. Now, he shares his plan to hit back at Disney.
In a press conference on Monday, DeSantis shares his possible ideas of what to do with surrounding land in the Disney district. He shared that some people want a state park, but he has other ideas. News Channel 8 reported that DeSantis is thinking we need another state prison. In the press conference he stated “Who knows? The possibilities are endless and that is now going to be analyzed to see what makes the most sense.”
It’s been a lot of back and fourth between DeSantis and Disney. Once he realized they won’t back down, DeSantis created a board to oversee the Florida theme parks and strip them of their power. Then, Disney CEO used a legal loophole to maintain authority of it’s own Disney district in Central Florida. We also don’t think it’s a coincidence that Disney CEO Bob Iger laid off Marvel Entertainment chairman, who was known to donate millions of dollars to DeSantis’ campaign.
