It’s offfical, Kanye West is making a run for president in the 2024 election. A recent video has been making rounds on social media where Kanye is at one of his offices being followed by a videographer. He is seen with alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos.
“This is Milo right here, working on the campaign,” Ye says in the video.
“Is that an announcement?” Kanye asks. “I guess it is,” Yiannopoulos replies. “Thanks, I accept.”
Later in the video, Ye is showing off his new presidential merch which reads “Ye24” on it which the videographer asks “So you are running?”
“Yes,” Ye declares, adding, “It’s simple ’cause ain’t nobody can tell me, you know, ‘You should say this, you shouldn’t say that,’ you know? It’s just we’re moving towards the future.”
This will be Kanye West’s second time running for President. He ran in 2020 under the “Birthday Party” and collected just 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million. Kanye’s announcement comes after former President Donald Trump announced he is running again after his 2020 loss to President Joe Biden. Trump announced Tuesday (Nov. 15) that he will seek the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.
