Things could get a bit sticky.
You may have heard about the bankruptcy of FTX crypto a few days ago. Hopefully that’s as far as it affected you and your net worth. But there are some Hollywood and local stars that were not so lucky. Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are among a group that have been mentioned in a class action lawsuit against FTX and its ex-CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried. The lawsuit alleges that FTX and Bankman-Fried received approximately $11 billion dollars in funding and endorsements from countless investors since its inception. The lawsuit claims that the company, it’s CEO and paid athletes and actors all helped to sell FTX to the public without performing their due diligence.
Celebrities were utilized to a huge degree to help sell FTX to the masses, and it worked. Billions of dollars poured into the platform as FTX’s value skyrocketed. Investigators say the company took on a classi Ponzi scheme structure, using new money to pay off loans and interest on older obligations to remain viable. FTX was valued at over $32 billion dollars earlier this year. But the compnay filed for bankruptcy last week. That’s a hell of a lot of value to lose in a very short period of time, thus the class action lawsuit. Expect the big names to hire big name attorneys as the suit progresses. Source: Deadline.com
Brady’s Been Through Lots Of Drama This Year
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady Through The Years
Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been married since 2009 and share two children together: Vivian Lake Brady and Benjamin Rein. After meeting through friends in 2006, Brady and Bündchen started seeing each other that December.
“I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she recalled to Vanity Fair in 2009 about Brady. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, ‘That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen!’ We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.”
For the picture-perfect couple, it wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies. They had their fair share of trouble, starting with Brady’s ex, Bridget Moynahan being pregnant with his child in February 2007.
The couple got engaged in January of 2009 and wed one month later in Santa Monica, California. They then threw another wedding two months later in Costa Rica. Nine months later, the couple welcomed their first child together, Benjamin. Three years later daughter Vivian was born.
Over a decade later and the couple is still in love and stronger than ever. See Brady and Bündchen’s relationship grow through the years below:
It Was A Simpler Time
From The Shark-ives: Rookie Tom Brady
As we hang on every word that comes out of TB12 regarding his plans for next year with or without the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s amazing to look back at these photos we found in the archives from Tom’s early years. Here are some pics from his college football days in Michigan and that crazy year when he first got to start in the NFL for the New England Patriots. 20 years of domination.
Sean Roberts was conceived in the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky by two passionate, panel aligning, third shifters who had grown bored with the same ole same ole. Upon birth, he was placed in the trunk of a new Stingray and sent off to find his destiny.
That destiny included several stints on radio stations across the United States. Some played punk country gospel, while others focused on Croatian death metal played backwards.
After many years and many adventures, Sean wound up on The Shark, where he does shots of tequila while playing the most badass tunes ever created by humankind.
He remains humble, however, never forgetting about the lean years...the street corners and dark alleys where he played songs on his car stereo for food and sex.
He's on top and he's never gonna stop LIVING THE DREAM!
