Study: Phone Scammers Target Tampa Third Most in U.S.

Between telemarketing and scam attempts, the average American receives at least 2 spam calls per week and an annual average of 152 unwanted calls. So…how does Tampa Bay compare?

Phones of Tampa residents ring far more often, with locals receiving a weekly average of 17 spam or scam calls.

All About Cookies analyzed call data to discover the number of unwanted calls in each U.S. city, including scam attempts and telemarketing calls to help identity which cities are the most afflicted by scams and spam.
