Today (October 14) is the theatrical premiere and Peacock streaming premiere of David Gordon Green’s Halloween Ends. After 45 years, the most acclaimed, revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying conclusion as Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) faces off for the last time against the masked killer Michael Myers. Four years after her last encounter with Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and trying to finish her memoir. Myers hasn’t been seen in a long time, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life. However, when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell) stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting… the story takes a turn.
“Scream queen” Curtis has portrayed Laurie, on and off, for more than four decades now. That’s one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history. Curtis first took on the role of Laurie in 1978 with John Carpenter’s Halloween. When the franchise relaunched under director David Gordon Green in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records, becoming the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.
Halloween Ends co-stars returning cast Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace and James Jude Courtney as The Shape. Watch the final trailer below:
Earlier this week, the stars of Halloween Ends hit the red carpet in Hollywood and they slayed — with very little blood spilled. See the 13 hottest looks below:
The 'Halloween Ends' actress kept things simple and dark with this all-black ensemble with a lace bra under her blazer.
The 'Hotel Transylvania 2' voice actress wore a pop of color that wasn't red or orange. Jenness wore a neon pink leather skirt with her black mock-neck vest.
What is a Halloween Ends red carpet premiere if there isn't an abundance of blood-red? This ensemble looks flowy and comfy enough to outrun Myers.
The 'Paranormal Activity 4' star wore a fun leather ensemble with a bralette peeking through.
The founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions looked surprisingly dapper and fashionable in fall colors at the premiere!
The 'Halloween' (2007) actress was slicked back and chic in this satin red ensemble and gold accessories.
Now the velvet blazers are always such a classic look and perfect for fall. It's refreshing to see a lighter color, as most folks go with dark velvet.
The 'Evil Dead' and 'Don't Breathe' star followed fellow horror star Kathryn Newton with the leather look. We love the thick leather of this dress, giving it a more rugged, edgy feel.
How cool is this custom-painted jacket of Michael Myers?! We love the way the black flawlessly fades into Bucci's pants.
Kyle Richards is on FIRE! The 'Halloween Ends' actress wore a sexy and flattering flame-cut gown to the premiere.
Caught Nava Rose red-handed with this playful blood-splattered white gown, adorned with red opera gloves! Slay!
Laurie Strode herself stole the show. Jamie Lee Curtis looked so glamorous in this glimmering red gown.
Okay, Michael Myers actually stole the show, arriving in full costume. We can almost smell this picture.
