Florida Man has done some pretty legendary things, some good and some bad. You can add crashing a very expensive and rare car to the list of adventures now. Authorites say Florida man was driving a Ford GT recently when he lost control and crashed. When questioned about the incident, the man blmaed the crash on being unfamiliar with a manual transmission and how it works. That’s a pretty expensive lesson to learn, considering that car is currently valued at a bit over $700,000. A witness who took pictures of the accident and posted them HERE, says the car careened into a tree and destroyed the entire front end. while the damage seems to be focused on the front half of the vehicle, the air bags deployed and rendered it inoperable. The crash is particularly devastating because the car is not new, but a classic limited edition that his risen in value every year since it was built in 2006. Even the paint scheme is unique, harkening back to the same livery used when Carroll Shelby, sponsored by Ford directly, raced the original GT Fords against Ferrari. The battle was immortalized in the movie, Ford vs. Ferrari. After the dust settled, the driver told investigating officers that while the cluth contributed to the crash, he also felt that old tires and muddy pavement helped the 550 horsepower car wreck into the tree. After their investigation, police cited the man for driving on a suspended license and warned for driving an unregistered vehicle. Source: NDTV.com
