Over a thousand sea creatures have washed ashore onto Madeira Beach this Wednesday near Johns Pass. According to local meteorologist Eric Stone, it’s actually quite common to see wildlife wash ashore like this after significant storms, as we saw over the weekend.
This happened before over on Pass-a-grille in 2020 when Hurricane Laura came skirting by the coast.
Some may say this is terrible timing as we have the Johns Pass Sea Food Festival coming up. But, hopefully, they will wash back into the sea safely.
