EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY - JANUARY 02: Antonio Brown #81 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers warms up prior to the game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on January 02, 2022 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Antonio Brown is alleging that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired him over an injury.

In a statement through his attorney, Brown alleges that the Buccaneers were covering up the fact that he had an ankle injury, but made him play anyway.

“Being fired on the sideline for having a painful injury was bad enough,” Brown said in his statement. “Then came their “spin.” Coach denied on national television that he knew about my ankle. That’s 100% inaccurate. Not only did he know I missed several games with the injury, he and I exchanged texts days before the game where he clearly acknowledged my injury.”

Brown added, “As part of their ongoing cover-up, they are acting like I wasn’t cut and now demanding that I see a doctor of their choice to examine my ankle.”

Do you think Antonio Brown is telling the truth? Where should he play next season?
