Bret Michaels Talks Upcoming Clearwater Show, Cool Cars and How to Have a Beautiful Life
Today (12/15) I got to speak with Bret Michaels about his upcoming Clearwater show and more!
About 30 years ago, I interviewed Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison. I knew that Bret was a gearhead, but I had no idea how deeply his love for cars and motorcycles ran.
We talked about his trips into the desert, driving his recently purchased 1963 Stingray (featured in the “Unskinny Bop” video). He loved hearing the engine purr as he drove across miles and miles of wide open spaces.
Flash forward to 2021, Bret is still a huge gearhead, but he’s also planning a post-COVID return to touring. Bret will be appearing at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Saturday, February 26th, 2022.
He told me he will be playing all the songs we know and some new things we may not have heard yet. He also hinted at a reunion in 2022 with ALL OF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS of Poison.
Listen along as we talk about how he’s helping with the recovery effort for the recent tornadoes in the Midwest. We also discuss dirt bike riding on Loretta Lynn’s farm, writing an inspirational anthem with his daughter, Jorja Blue, his health concerns and the cool cars he’ll be selling at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auto Auction. As usual, all of the proceeds will go to charity.
Finally, we talk about the upcoming show at Ruth Eckerd Hall. He’ll be appearing with Warrant and a very special guest you’re sure to love. Bret is truly the nicest guy in rock and roll, and you’ll agree by the time we’re done.
