A CEO Drops Bad News to Staff on a Zoom Call
Vishal Garg the CEO of an online mortgage lender, held a staff zoom call with about 9% of their workforce (900 people) and dropped some brutal news.
Garg broke the news that they are firing all 900 of the employees on the Zoom call. He put blame on market efficiency, performance, and productivity for the firings, he also accused them of being so ‘lazy’ they effectively ‘stole’ from customers.
He also claimed employees were unproductive and working two hours and clocking over 8 hours. You can see a portion of the call posted to TikTok below.
