World Wrestling Entertainment brings SmackDown to Tampa this Friday at Amalie Arena.

This particular event is significant in that it is part of WWE’s “Summer of Cena.” 13-time WWE Champion John Cena will be appearing at 15 different WWE events throughout the summer.

In addition to Cena, WWE legends Rey Mysterio, Vince McMahon and Triple H will also be in attendance. Current SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Blair is also a must see on Friday.

Back in April, WWE brought “Wrestlemania” to Raymond James Stadium with a limited amount of fans allowed. WrestleMania 37 was WWE’s first in-person event with fans in attendance since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Friday’s event will be allowing a full capacity crowd at Amalie Arena. WWE SmackDown’s last event took place on July 30th.

Notable matches from the last edition of Friday Night Smackdown saw Rey Mysterio defeat Jimmy Uso, and Reggie knockout Chad Gable by disqualification in a 24/7 Championship match. John Cena also inked himself in for this year’s “SummerSlam” to challenge Roman Reigns.

Friday Night SmackDown is set to begin at 7:45 PM Friday with doors opening 60-90 minutes prior to start time. Tickets start as low as $20 and are still readily available for the upcoming event.
