In a strange case involving a man and an iguana, police say Florida man is facing animal cruelty charges after an iguana was beaten so badly that it had to be euthanized. Investigators say it all started when Florida man was walking along Lake Street and noticed an iguana that he claimed needed assistance to cross an upcoming road. Once the pair crossed the road, the man said the iguana attacked him viscously. During the fight, the man beat the iguana so severely that it later had to be put down. Video surveillance documented the attack. which seems to show the iguana biting the man, followed by the man attackng the iguana and leaving it unconscious. The man was treated at a local hospital, where he recieved 22 staples in his forearm. In the official report, the man said he felt that force was warranted and he was justifked under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. A court will decide the fate of the man. Source: KETV.com
