Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, made a public appearance today and shared some mixed news for the future of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

Our governor talked about Florida’s COVID-19 vaccine supply and he said it has been “stagnant.” It seems concerning but very soon there will be more doses getting delivered. DeSantis said Florida will be receiving 400,000 doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines in the next few weeks. When it comes to Johnson & Johnson, he is unsure when our state will get more.

Ron DeSantis did not announce changes to the eligibility. He did say they will lower the age of eligibility to 55 and older by the end of March.
