According to police in Jackosnville, a Navy officer credits his Tesla with protecting him during an attempted carjacking last week. Draper Younce told cops that a man walked up behind his car last Friday and attempted to steal it from him. The man produced a gun and demanded that the car’s owner get out of the car. ounce said that the tesla’s unique options allowed him to deny entry to the carjacker and to escape without even lowering his hands. The man sais flush mounted door handles kept the attacker form being able to grab or open the door, while body mounted cameras documented the entire altercation. He also said that the tesla’s power enabled him to get away very quickly, which he says probably saved his life. Younce posted pics of the bullet hole in his Tesla on social media, which prompted Elon Musk to comment personally. – Sean Roberts
