Tampa General Gets COVID Vaccine Today
According to ABCActionNews.com, Tampa General Hospital should receive their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine today. TGH is one of the very first in Florida to get the vaccines. Almost 100,000 doses will be delivered to hopitals, while a huge chunk will be sent to Walgreens and CVS stores. tens of thousands of others will be sent ot the Department of Health for distribution among long-term care facilities. As predicted, the first round will be given to helath care workers who are deemed to be on the ‘front line’. The first shipments of the vaccine across the U’S. will contain about 3 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine. The timelne between the outbreak of COVID-19 and the intorduction of a vaccine is drastically faster thn in the past, prompting many to doubt the validity of the testing and certification of its safety, even after three former United States Presidentsand said they would take the vaccine on TV.
