Are Tampa Businesses About To See A Recovery?
The vaccine could change things overnight…

Are we on the verge of a recovery, or is it too late for many of the bay's small businesses? As talk of a vaccine swirls, local business owners are filled with a guarded sense of optimism. Many of our locally owned businesses silently closed forever over the last 10 months. Add to that, lost jobs, furloughs and a stalled second round of stimulus checks. The vaccine represents a rare positive bit of good news in 2020, and most of us could use some good news. There's a caveat, however. Many Americans say they won't take a vaccine, citing insufficient testing and a general distrust of the government. On a personal level, radio broadcasting has been hit hard by 2020. I'm not complaining, though. My gf and I have luckily retained our jobs and have kept making money throughout the pandemic. Because she's in the medical field, we've encountered our share of stress, but we have emerged unscathed. It's been the most challenging year I've ever encountered, and I can't wait for this s$!t show to end. I know one thing for sure, I will faithfully support every small business I can. I sooo want to get back to normal. - Sean Roberts
