Mike Zunino grew up in Cape Coral, just about 2 hours south of Tampa Bay.

Zunino played high school baseball at Mariner High in Cape Coral, then played at the University of Florida as their catcher before being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2012 as the 3rd overall player in the first round.

Monday, Zunino extended the Rays’ lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th, as he crushed solo homer to center.

The Rays lead the Astros in the ALCS 2-0.  Game 3 is tonight at 8:40 on TBS.
